Bumpdate: 36 Weeks!

This first week of summer vacation is flying by!  I went into hyper nesting mode over the weekend.  Our kitchen has never been so clean!  I only have a few more things to check off my pre-baby to do list, which feels great.

I'm getting anxious to meet this little peanut, but it isn't allowed to come until next week Wednesday night at the earliest.  We have maternity pictures scheduled on Monday, and then a breastfeeding class scheduled for Wednesday evening.  I really want to make it through those two things before baby arrives.

How far along: 36 Weeks
Gender: It's a baby!  Only a few more weeks until we meet him/her!
Weight gain: About 27 pounds
Maternity clothes: I'm mostly just bumming in a t-shirt and shorts, unless I have to leave the house.
Stretch marks: Yes.  Major bummer.
Belly button in or out: Out.  So so weird.
Sleep: Not too bad, but I definitely don't sleep through the night like I used to anymore.
Best moment this week: Checking so much off of my to do list!  It feels amazing.  And baby has been kicking like crazy.  It's starting to hurt!
Worst moment this week: Being sore after working out.
Miss anything: Laying on my stomach.
Movement: Ton!  Though it's been hurting a bit this week.
Cravings: Sweet things.
Queasy or sick: Feeling good
Looking forward to: Our appointment on Friday!  Only 3 more (hopefully) left!

Bumpdate: 35 Weeks!

This week is the first official week of summer vacation.  I had meetings at school on Monday and Tuesday and spent Wednesday and Thursday at school as well.

I have officially touched every piece of paper in my classroom that I was so lucky to inherit, and after much purging my room looks so clean.  I was even able to get all of my bulletin boards for next year completed, which is a huge thing checked off my to do list.  If this baby comes on time or late I will be missing contract week, which means no time to do bulletin boards.  Plus I don't think I'll really want to leave my snuggly baby to go up to school to put them together.

All that's left on my school to do list is prepping for the first week and having all of my copies made.  As a bonus I would like to organize my classroom library, but I have to same some of my energy for my home to do list too.

Let's get down to business...35 weeks!

How far along: 35 Weeks
Gender: It's a baby!  Only a few more weeks until we meet him/her!
Weight gain: About 25 pounds
Maternity clothes: Maternity clothes all the way, except for my athletic shorts which I have been living in at home.
Stretch marks: Yes.  Major bummer.
Belly button in or out: It's on it's way to an outie.  It looks weird :/
Sleep: Not too bad, but I wake up every time I want to roll over, which is annoying.
Best moment this week: Finishing up my room at school and our appointment today.  Baby's heartbeat is around 140!
Worst moment this week: Heartburn.  Waking me up at 2 a.m. and forcing me to attempt to sleep sitting up.  So not fun.
Miss anything: Laying on my stomach.
Movement: Tons, and I love all of it, even if baby does jam his or her butt up as high as it can go.
Cravings: Chocolate.
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!  One teacher at school told me I was the happiest pregnant lady she has ever seen, so that makes me feel good.
Looking forward to: A relaxing weekend with a birthday party my BFF's little girl.

Bumpdate: 34 Weeks!

Wow this past week flew by!  It's the last day of school!!!!!!! I am terribly excited.  I have two meetings next week, and then I'm planning on spending time in my classroom getting all set up for the fall.  If I can get my bulletin boards finished and activities planned for the first week, then life will be good and I can concentrate on baby until he/she arrives.

How far along: 34 Weeks
Gender: It's a baby!  Only a few more weeks until we meet him/her!
Weight gain: About 28 pounds
Maternity clothes: Maternity clothes all the way, they are the best.
Stretch marks: A few, mostly on my right side.
Belly button in or out: I don't have a belly button any more, it's so flat.
Sleep: Sleep is pretty good, waking up about once per night.
Best moment this week: Finishing up school!  My kids cleaned my whole room for me yesterday.  It was seriously so great.  Every book came off every shelf and they dusted everything.  My favorite quote was:
Student: "Eww. This is so nasty." (talking about the dust)
Me: "I know, that's why you are doing it."
     Student: "That's not fair!"

Seriously, it was the best. And they saved me a few hours of work next week, which is a bonus.
Worst moment this week: Finding shoes that are comfortable enough to wear all day at school.  Luckily our footwear dress code isn't too strict.
Miss anything: Cold lunch meat sandwiches.
Movement: Tons, and I love all of it, even if baby does jam his or her butt up as high as it can go.
Cravings: Sweet and salty.
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!
Looking forward to: 12:30 p.m. today!  I'll be free!

Bumpdate: 31 Weeks

I always have the best intention of posting these about midway through the week, but then I don't.

This week was great.  We started our Family Life Unit in school, which is basically Sex Ed.  I was terrified to teach it, but it's actually going great.  I'm just teaching the girls, and they are asking such good questions.

We also finished up our third trimester class today, so now we can officially have this baby!  As long as it waits a few weeks to finish baking.

Onto the bumpdate:

How far along: 31 Weeks
Gender: It's a baby!  We were the only couple out of the 10 in our class that don't know what we are having.
Weight gain: About 23 pounds
Maternity clothes: Maternity clothes all the way, they are the best.
Stretch marks: A few, mostly on my hips.
Belly button in or out: In, but seriously stretched and making its way toward being an outie.
Sleep: Sleep is pretty good.  I have to wake up now to roll over, which is irritating.
Best moment this week: Our 32 week appointment and our birthing class today.
Worst moment this week: I don't think I had one.
Miss anything: Sleeping through the night.
Movement: Yes!
Cravings: Cheerios and ice cream.  Yum!
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!
Looking forward to: This week at school.  It should move pretty quickly...and then only 2 more weeks!

Bumpdate: 30 Weeks

Another week has flown by!  We only have 4 more weeks of school, and 9 weeks until baby!

How far along: 30 Weeks
Gender: It's a baby!  My 4th graders were asking me today what I was having and they did not believe me at all when I told them we were waiting to find out.  They were all saying "but why would you do that?"
Weight gain: About 21 pounds
Maternity clothes: Maternity clothes all the way.  I don't really want to go back to wearing waistbands :)
Stretch marks: A few on my hips, but none on my stomach.  I did have two show up the other day, but they disappeared after I drank a bunch of water, which was nice.
Belly button in or out: In, but seriously stretched.  It's almost flat.
Sleep: Still sleeping really well but occasionally waking up with minor back pain or to use the restroom.
Best moment this week: School was easy this week.  We had lots of special activities going on.
Worst moment this week: This week felt long, which was a drag.
Miss anything: Sleeping on my stomach, laying on my stomach, all things to do with my stomach.
Movement: So much!  And it's starting to hurt a bit.
Cravings: Ice cream this week.  I looked like a crazy lady at the store browsing the ice cream selection.  I finally settled on brownies and cookie dough.
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!
Looking forward to: The beautiful weather this weekend, and our first Labor and Delivery class tomorrow morning.
